Grape Festival
Every year, since 1886, the Merano Grape Festival is a moment of joy and thanksgiving for the good autumn harvest. South Tyrolean customs are lived and showcased at the Grape Festival.
The traditional harvest festival in the spa town is particularly charming with its parade, during which colorful and decorated floats parade through the streets of Merano. Every year, numerous bands, floats, shooting associations, and traditional costumes participate in the procession.
The program includes local products at the Merano Market, autumnal dishes with influences from the north and south, fine wines from the Burgraviate, and Alpine music. Concerts by South Tyrolean youth bands will be held on Sunday on the terrace of the Kurhaus, in Thermenplatz, in Sparkassenstraße, and in the Kallmünz parking lot.The diverse support program with musical bands and dance groups attracts not only locals but also tourists from all over the world.
Merano International Wine Festival
The Merano International Wine Festival was born in 1992 from the idea of three Meranese people united by their passion for great wines and the most genuine gastronomic products.
Christmas Markets
Every year… the traditional Christmas Market of Merano takes place during Advent. Numerous stalls offer cute gift ideas, Christmas delicacies, and mulled wine. South Tyrolean craftsmanship is also represented with candles, felt slippers, sculptures, and much more.
