In these “walking paradises,” one can fully enjoy the pleasure of mountain exploration by choosing from the numerous trails branching out from the mountain stations of the cable cars or even just descending towards the valley. The splendid view of the mountains and the valley always makes the ascent worthwhile. The sunny skiing and hiking area of Merano 2000 is located just above the city. The largest cable car in South Tyrol takes passengers to the expansive “sunny terrace” of Merano in just seven minutes. Award-winning architecture and sustainable mobility combine in one of the most modern cable cars in the Alps, capable of transporting 120 passengers per cabin, taking them from Merano to the skiing and hiking area of Merano 2000.
